On June 6th, 2024, as part of the XXVII St. Petersburg International Economic Forum, a cooperation and collaboration agreement was signed between the Presidential Library under the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation and the leading Russian video hosting platform RUTUBE.

The document was signed by Yuriy Nosov, General Director of the Presidential Library, and Sergey Ivanov, General Manager of RUTUBE.

Sergey Grinevich, head of the Information and Communications Technologies Department at the Administrative Directorate of the President, noted that the signing of this agreement would contribute to the preservation and promotion of Russia's historical and cultural heritage.

The collaboration between the Presidential Library and RUTUBE aims to meet the information needs of citizens by providing access to digital copies of historical documents and materials from the library collection. It also aims to create and promote documentary and educational content, and attract new users.

RUTUBE offers a range of convenient features that are available on various devices, including personal computers, smartphones, tablets, and smart TV sets. This makes it easy for users to access content from the Presidential Library.

Yuri Nosov, the Director General of the Presidential Library, emphasizes that RUTUBE allows viewers to stay up-to-date with the latest developments in the library. They can watch live broadcasts of events, documentaries, and educational films on the library's TV channel. They can also attend virtual exhibitions and presentations without leaving their homes.

According to RUTUBE CEO Sergey Ivanov, cooperation with the Presidential Library is part of the plan for the development of the educational aspect of the national video platform: "Recently, we have seen a growing interest among our users in materials related to the history and culture of Russia. Providing access to valuable documents in digital format will certainly please them. We hope that, over time, the volume of educational content on our platform will only increase, as it helps to shape the cultural landscape, especially among younger people."

Based on a collection of documents called World War II in Archival Documents, which is being compiled by the Presidential Library in collaboration with the Federal Archives Agency, library experts, and teachers from the Gorchakov Lyceum, video tutorials have been created. These tutorials are now available on the RUTUBE platform.

All the content offered by the Presidential Library is based on reliable historical sources. At present, the institution's collection includes more than a million items, with a significant portion of these being video materials.
