Yeltsin The title of the accompanying document Date: 23052012 The seventh part of the album includes: a cover-saver, 10 photos of the icon "Transfiguration" The photos show a general view and fragments of an icon The icon presented in the album is a temple image from the Church of the Transfiguration of the Savior on Neredits, written in the first half of the 16th century. Its origin, perhaps, is connected with the Makaryev Icon Workshop that existed under the St. Sophia Cathedral, under the Novgorod Lord of Macarius, Christ is depicted on the Mount of Tabor, accompanied by the three closest disciples: Peter, James, and John. In the center of the icon is depicted and the scene of the Transfiguration on the top of the Mount of Tabor. At that moment the divine nature of Christ was revealed to the disciples - Jesus appeared before them in white robes in the radiance of divine glory. On the sides of Christ are depicted the prophets talking to him, Ilya and Moses. In the left corner of the icon there is an angel on the cloud, for conversations with Christ bringing prophet Ilya In the right - an angel lifting from the tomb of the prophet Moses, also bringing him to Christ In the center in the left and right parts of the icon is represented Christ, ascending to the Mount Tabor accompanied by the three apos and the Christ descending from the mountain and punishing his disciples not to tell about the miracle they saw. The materials of the film "The Russian icon in the collection of the Novgorod Museum-Reserve" were used (dyakonov TI, Presidential Library of BN Yeltsin, 2012)
