"Lermontovskaya playground" - the name of the architectural composition built on the top of a hill in Kislovodsk, where the wooden building of the "restaurant" was built, built by the brothers Bernardazzi in 1823. In 1826, in front of the restaurant building, was built a portico with columns and a stone staircase, under which was built a grotto for the storage of local rarities. A. Pushkin stayed at the restaurant, M. Yu. Lermontov visited her. In the XX century. the building of the restaurant was lost and in its place in 1948 a stone staircase with a length of four marches was built. The upper march of the staircase was closed by a powerful wall of stone blocks. In the circular niche of the wall there is a sculptural portrait of M. Yu. Lermontov (sculptor GN Valuisky) in a frame. Below the portrait there is a palm branch of glory and Lermontov lines with an autograph. In the 1960s. in the grotto was installed the figure of the Lermontov Demon of the work of the Kislovodsk sculptor V. G. Kuregian
