    Collection, timed to the anniversary of M. Yu. Lermontov, contains materials that reveal the diversity of the individual genius of the poet, his role in the cultural life of Russia. The collection includes books and periodicals containing the texts of M. Yu. Lermontov’s works, researches on his life and work, as well as postcards and photographs depicting the monument to the poet, the places associated with his name.

    • The works of M. Y. Lermontov

      The section includes texts and movie versions of literary works, paintings and drawings by the poet, as well as certain poems by Mikhail Lermontov, included in the collected works of various authors. It should also be noted that the section contains some illustrated editions of particular artistic value. These are: the novel "Hero of Our Time" with illustrations by M. A. Zichy, poetry, illustrated by I. K. Aivazovsky, V. M. Vasnetsov and other artists, and so on.
    • Materials on the life and work of the poet

      The section includes books, magazine articles, photographs, bibliographies and textbooks of different years, which cover the poet's biography and analysis of his literary works. Of great interest is a set of materials about the staging of the play "Masquerade", which premiered in February 1917. The play changed the opinion of the theater community about its non-for-stage character and it entered the repertoire of the theaters.
    • Memory of the poet

      The materials of the sections (brochures, articles, postcards and photos) were timed to the anniversaries of birth and death of the poet. The collections includes the worthy images of two monuments on the site of Lermontov’s duel: a temporary one built in time for the 60th anniversary of the death of the poet (author I. Baikov) and the obelisk designed by B. M. Mikeshin erected in 1915.
