On May 8, 2024 the Presidential Library hosted a lecture about everyday life during the Great Patriotic War and the siege as part of the video lecture "Knowledge of Russia". Lecturers were Kirill Boldovsky, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Head of the laboratory "History of the Siege of Leningrad", Senior Researcher at the Department of Modern Russian History of the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences, and Alexey Bogomolov, Candidate of Historical Sciences, Researcher at the St. Petersburg Institute of History of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

On May 7, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted a solemn event timed to coincide with the 79th anniversary of Victory in the Great Patriotic War. The organizers are the Administration of the Admiralteysky district of St. Petersburg and the Presidential Library. The event was attended by veterans of the Great Patriotic War, residents of besieged Leningrad and home front workers.

On May 7, 1840, Pyotr Tchaikovsky, the great Russian composer, was born in the small town of Votkinsk. On May 27, 2024, the Presidential Library celebrates 15 years since its opening. It is the largest multifunctional information, scientific, cultural and educational center. The Presidential Library is under the jurisdiction of the Administrative Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation and is the first electronic national library of Russia.
