The winners and prize-winners of Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" awarded at the Presidential Library

The ceremony of awarding diplomas and memorable gifts to the winners and medalists of the Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" will take place on May 14, 2024, at 14:00 (Moscow time). The contestants will gather at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg and at the venue of its branch in Tyumen Region.

It should be noted that this academic year more than 3.5 thousand schoolchildren and students took part in the contest. Most of them are representatives of Tyumen, Novosibirsk, Kurgan and Kemerovo Tegions, Khanty–Mansi Autonomous Area – Yugra, Donetsk People's Republic, as well as foreign countries – Vietnam, Iran, Uzbekistan, Egypt, India, China, etc.

The Olympiad was traditionally held in the subjects of "History", "Social Studies", "Russian language" and "Russian as a foreign language". The contest includes several stages. The tasks were based on the materials from the electronic library's collections, which contain more than a million digitized copies of rare documents that make complete the historical and cultural heritage of our country.

Since 2010, about 60,000 people have tried their hand in the interactive educational project, many of whom later enrolled in leading Russian universities.

The main objective of the contest is to introduce students to work with archival sources of information on the history, theory and practice of Russian statehood. The educational project is aimed at finding and supporting young talents, popularizing humanitarian knowledge among young people.

The Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" was held this year by the Presidential Library and the National Research University Higher School of Economics with the organizational support of Novosibirsk State Pedagogical University, St. Petersburg State University of Economics and the Northwestern Institute of Management, a branch of the Russian Academy of National Economy and Public Administration. The letter should contain the full name, date and place of birth, passport data (series, number, place of registration), a list of carry-on equipment, contact phone numbers, the name of the media.

We draw the attention of the media representatives that it is necessary to forward applications for accreditation and arrive at the event in advance.

Entrance to the Presidential Library is carried out only by prior registration and upon showing a passport: for media representatives - through entrance № 2.

In order to reduce the risks of the spread of a new coronavirus infection (COVID-19), the use of personal protective equipment during the event is mandatory for all attendees.
