Astronautics Day celebration in the Presidential Library

“Astronautics Day in the Presidential Library” conference-webinar will take place at 10 am Moscow Time on April 12, 2017, in the library. The event will be aired on the Presidential Library website www.prlib.ru under the Live Broadcasts.

The conference will feature the reports on K. E. Tsiolkovsky, on the embodiment of his ideas in practical cosmonautics, about his follower - the founder of practical cosmonautics Sergei Korolev. The participants of the event will find out about how the training of personnel of the spaceport “Vostochny” was going on the basis of the Amur State University. In addition, a presentation of the space festival “CosmoStart Northwest” and a screening of video about the first woman-cosmonaut Valentina Tereshkova are in the agenda of the conference.

The history of the cosmic space exploration can be found on the Presidential Library website in the Open Space electronic collection. It contains the periodicals, books, fragments of newsreels that reflect the various milestones in the development of cosmonautics, the memoirs of Yuri Gagarin himself, as well as a collection of many Russian scientists and interpreters of the ideas of cosmonautics: K. E. Tsiolkovsky, V. I. Pryanishnikov, Y. I. Perelman.

The cadets of the Military Space Academy named after A. F. Mozhaisky, the students of the Baltic State Technical University – “VOENMEKh” named after D. F. Ustinov, the students of the St. Petersburg State University of Aerospace Instrumentation, representatives of the North-West Interregional Public Organization of the Federation of Cosmonautics of the Russian Federation and the “MIR” Youth Public Organization will participate in the conference.

The Tyumen branch of the Presidential Library, the Moscow Regional State Scientific Library named after N. K. Krupskaya, the Tomsk Regional Universal Scientific Library named after A. S. Pushkin, the Amur Regional Scientific Library named after N. N. Muravev-Amursky, the Kemerovo Regional Scientific Library named after V. D. Fedorov, the Altai Regional Universal Scientific Library named after V. Y. Shishkov, the Northern (Arctic) Federal University, the Astrakhan Regional Scientific Library named after N. K. Krupskaya and others they will join in video-conferencing mode.
