The Presidential Library portal to broadcast the chamber orchestra "Divertissement"

May 26, 2017 at 15:30 on the portal of the Presidential Library will be a broadcasted a concert of the St. Petersburg State Budgetary Cultural Institution "Petersburg Concert" of the Chamber Orchestra "Divertissement".

For 25 years of its existence "Divertissement" has developed a great repertoire, including not only works of the Baroque era, most often performed by such collectives, but also modern masterpieces. Since 1998, the team is led by Honored Artist of Russia, violinist Ilya Ioff.

Simultaneously with his arrival in the Divertissement, the orchestra was enriched by several excellent chamber musicians well known in Russia. Almost "quartet" flexibility and ensemble mobility of the collective allowed to significantly expanding the repertoire, including in it the most difficult scores of all eras. Important place in the repertoire of "Divertissement" is Russian music. P. Tchaikovsky, A. Arensky, I. Stravinsky, D. Shostakovich, S. Prokofiev, A. Schnittke - all these authors are represented by the orchestra in concert programs.

"Divertissement" is much and successfully collaborates with modern Russian composers. A. Petrov, S. Slonimsky, L. Desyatnikov, G. Korchmar, B. Tishchenko - this is not a complete list of authors who not only trust the premiere of their plays, but often write specially for the collective.

This time Ilya Ioff, Honored Artist of Russia, winner of the St. Petersburg Government Prize and his virtuosic performers prepared listening of the works of Vivaldi, Mozart, Tchaikovsky, Shostakovich, Bartok, Tariverdiyev, Piazzolla and other composers.
