Dmitry Ilovaisky (1832–1920)

The collection has been formed on the occasion of the 190th anniversary of the birth of a prominent historian, the creator of original historical concepts and the author of the most stable pre-revolutionary history textbooks Dmitry Ilovaisky. The collection is based on the documents of the personal collections of the Russian State Historical Archive arranged by themes - materials about the life of Ilovaisky, his scientific and publishing activities, correspondence and photographs. The "Works" section features an extensive collection of his scientific works, textbooks, articles, reviews on them and discussions of Dmitry Ilovaisky with other historians.

The collection includes materials from the collections of the following institutions: the Russian State Historical Archive, the State Public Historical Library, the Krupskaya Moscow Regional State Scientific Library, the Herzen State Pedagogical University of Russia, the Russian State Library, the Moscow State University, the St. Petersburg State University, the Russian Geographical Society, the Sverdlovsk Regional Library for Children and Youth, the Ural Federal University.
