The Presidential Library summed up the results of the first stage of the Olympiad for foreign schoolchildren and students

94 participants from 27 countries of the world reached the finals of the Olympiad for foreign schoolchildren and students, which will be held on March 29–31, 2023. It involves Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, Iran, Syria, Mongolia, Slovakia, Italy, Azerbaijan, China, Tajikistan, Spain, Egypt, Brazil, Serbia, Bulgaria and others.

The Olympiad "Russia in the Electronic World" in the discipline "Russian as a Foreign Language" runs from October 3, 2022 to March 31, 2023. Its participants are foreign citizens - schoolchildren from 14 years old and students.

The contest includes two stages. The qualifying round was held from October 3, 2022 to January 20, 2023 in absentia using a remote knowledge testing system. The final stage will take place in person from March 29 to March 31, 2023 and will be held at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg, its branch in Tyumen Region, as well as at the remote electronic reading rooms of the institution in Russia and abroad.

Contest tests allow assessing three levels of Russian language proficiency: elementary (A1), basic (A2), first certification level (B1). The knowledge testing system includes tasks in the sections "Vocabulary", "Grammar", "Listening". The final stage involves passing the test “Writing. Speaking".

The Olympiad in the discipline "Russian as a foreign language" has been held by the Presidential Library since 2019. During the entire existence of the educational project, about 2,000 schoolchildren and students have become its participants.
