A scientific and educational hour at the Dushanbe branch of NUST MISIS dedicated to the 90th anniversary of Yuri Gagarin

A scientific and educational hour “Yuri Gagarin – the man of the future” was held at the branch of the National Research Technological University “MISIS” in Dushanbe. The event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the first cosmonaut of the Earth, Yuri Gagarin, and timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

The remoe access center to information resources of the Presidential Library, opened in 2011 at the Russian House in Dushanbe, today provides the entire variety of collections of the library’s electronic holdings.

Visitors to the Russian Center of Science and Culture will learn about Russian Language collection from the electronic holdings of the Presidential Library. It includes more than 1,100 depository items of rare archival documents, including manuscripts, monuments of Russian writing, archival documents, research papers, dictionaries, reference books, teaching aids and much more.

Guests of the Russian House can also learn about the Presidential Library's collection Tajikistan: Geography, Ethnography, History. It includes geographical essays and ethnographic studies of the period when Tajikistan became part of the Russian Empire, as well as photographs and newsreel fragments dedicated to the Pamir expeditions of the 20-30s of the last century.
