The Presidential Library's remote access center opened in the village of Inderka, Penza Region

On April 17, 2024, the remote access center of the Presidential Library was inaugurated in the Library of the village of Inderka, Intersettlement Central Regional Library, Sosnovoborsky District, Penza Region. Residents received access to a unique repository of digital copies of the most important documents on the history of Russian statehood.

In his greeting, Director of the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, Doctor of Historical Sciences, Professor Vladimir Pervushkin said that the creation of the Presidential Library's remote access center opens up a wide field for scientific work - researchers of the history of their native land have received a unique opportunity without leaving the village, study archival documents and read books published in the 19th century.

Olga Perepelkina also told those present about the basic collections of the Presidential Library presented on the institution’s portal, emphasizing that some documents are available only in the electronic reading room of the library. In addition, the presentation presented materials that will be of interest to students and teachers.

Valentina Umnova, Director of the Intersettlement Central District Library of the Sosnovoborsky District, emphasized that the opening of the remote access center, in addition to entering the collections with electronic resources, will allow the library to attract new readers, implement new educational projects and make events more interesting.

Specialists from the Library of the village of Inderka cut a symbolic ribbon for the electronic reading room and invited representatives of the local community to learn about the resources of the Presidential Library.

The Presidential Library's portal features the collection Penza Region: Pages of History. It includes archival documents, essays, studies, statistical and other materials covering various aspects of the development of the region in different historical periods.
