International teleconference with Tehran held at the Crimean Regional Center of the Presidential Library

On April 24, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library hosted an international teleconference between Simferopol and Tehran. It was held under the name "The great feat will not be forgotten!". The event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the liberation of Crimea from Nazi invaders.

The meeting was attended by members of the State Council of Republic of Crimea, employees of the Representative Office of the Ministry of Foreign Affairs of the Russian Federation in Simferopol, the director and students of Bogatyr School No. 18, as well as students of the school at the Embassy of the Russian Federation in the Islamic Republic of Iran.

The participants were greeted by Oleg Rodivilov, Second Secretary of the Russian Foreign Ministry's Representative Office in Simferopol, Vladimir Bobkov, Deputy Chairman of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea, and Igor Arzhantsev, Deputy of the State Council of the Republic of Crimea.

Simferopol students and members of the "Youth army" shared an author's video about the city's monuments, which was dedicated to the Great Patriotic War. Also they answered questions of schoolchildren from Tehran about the Crimean attack and partisan movement.

During the meeting, a book "..By playing their main roles" was presented as a gift to the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library. It was presented by one of the authors, Vladimir Bobkov. The edition presents the results of the first systematic study of the history of the theater underground patriotic group "Sokol".

In addition, thematic materials from the collections of the Presidential Library and the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library were demonstrated during the event.

The collection "Republic of Crimea: pages of history" is available on the portal of the Presidential Library. It contains archival documents, research, essays, photographs and other materials covering various aspects of the peninsula's development from ancient times to the beginning of the 20th century.
