The Presidential Library resources have become more accessible in the Volgograd region

Today, on May 25, 2017, on the eve of the All-Russian Library Day, a center for access to the Presidential Library resources was opened on the territory of the Novoanninskaya inter-settlement library. The event was held as part of the implementation of the cooperation agreement, which was signed between the Presidential Library and the Volgograd region on December 10, 2010.

The opening of a remote electronic reading room will allow residents and guests of the Novoanninskiy municipal district of the Volgograd region to get the opportunity to work with a unique digital resource. 500 thousand electronic copies of collections of rare books, documents, film and photographic materials will be available. The collection "The Volgograd region: Pages of History" is among them. It included digital copies of studies, essays, memoirs, archival documents, official statistical collections and surveys, as well as the journals of district zemstvo meetings, devoted to history, archeology, economics, demography and military and administrative development during the XIII-XX centuries of territories, now part of the Volgograd region (former Tsaritsyn and Kamyshin districts of the Saratov province). There is the electronic edition of the book by E. B. Genkina “Struggle for Tsaritsyn in 1918" among the rare ones”. 

Thanks to the opening of a remote electronic reading room in the Novoanninskaya inter-settlement library, everyone can take part in film-shooters, scientific and practical videoconferences, Olympiads and contests initiated and conducted by the Presidential Library.

Also on this day, the virtual exhibition "The Most Unusual Libraries of the World" was presented in the library, the action "Join the Library" and other events took place.

At the moment, eight centers of access to the Presidential Library resources have been opened and are functioning successfully in the Volgograd region. The regional center is open on the basis of the M. Gorky Volgograd Regional Universal Scientific Library, remote electronic rooms are located in Sredneakhtubinskaya inter-settlement central library, the Kalachevskaya inter-settlement central library and other cultural institutions.
