The Presidential Library opened the first center of access to its resources in Poland

August 18, 2017, the first remote electronic reading room of the Presidential Library was opened in Poland. It was created on the basis of the Russian Center of Science and Culture in Warsaw.

Residents and guests of Warsaw got access to unique documents, archival materials, books from the Presidential Library's electronic fund, which amounts to more than 550,000 items, including materials from the electronic collection "From the History of the Kingdom of Poland". In addition, the electronic reading room will become a platform for cultural, educational, information projects telling about the history of Russia.

The ceremony was attended by cultural and scientific figures, heads of public organizations of Russia and Poland, specialists of the Presidential Library.

Providing open access to its fund for the widest range of users, along with preserving the historical and cultural heritage, is an important direction of the Presidential Library. More than 30 remote electronic reading rooms of the Presidential Library have been opened abroad in 25 countries, including Great Britain, Finland, Bulgaria, Italy, the Czech Republic, Hungary, etc. Today the library continues its active development and in the future it is planned to open remote electronic reading rooms throughout the world.
