The participants of the pedagogical meeting, held in the Lermontov Penza Regional Library, got familiar with the resources of the Presidential Library

August 23 the Lermontov Penza Regional Library held a plenary meeting of the Regional August Teachers' Meeting. As part of the event, the specialists of the electronic reading room acquainted teachers with the resources of the Presidential Library.

The teachers of history noted the relevance of the collection of the Presidential Library "Textbooks on the History of Russia". At present, one of the most debatable moments in the teaching of Russian history is the choice of textbooks. The proposed collection reflects the diversity of concepts and methodological approaches in the field of creating textbooks on this discipline during the XIX - beginning of the XXI century, allowing us to trace their evolution and better understand the consciousness of people who were brought up on certain ideals. Materials of the collection can be used for independent work of students and as an additional reading.

Many teachers showed interest in the project "Multimedia Lessons of the Presidential Library". Such lessons allow integrating the resources and capabilities of the modern electronic library into the educational process through the disclosure by methodical means of documents devoted to important events in the history of Russia and the establishment of its statehood. The use of multimedia technologies also helps to make the learning process more interesting, visual and maximally productive.

The Presidential Library portal features an electronic collection "The Penza region: pages of history". The compilation includes electronic copies of archival documents, essays, studies and statistical materials covering the demographic, geographic, socioeconomic, socio-political and other aspects of the history of the Penza region at the end of the XVIII century and the first third of the XX century.
