Documentary dedicated to the Holy from John of Kronstadt, filmed in 2008 by director Antonom Alekseevym to the 180th anniversary of the saint and the 100 th anniversary of his death, celebrated in 2009. John of Kronstadt is a preacher, church-public figure, rector of St. Andrew's Cathedral in Kronstadt, who lived in the late XIX - early XX century, revered in Russia and abroad. The documentary includes a video sequence shot in the north of Russia and the United States of America, and also contains an interview with an American historian of Russian origin, the daughter of an Orthodox priest, Nadezhda Kitsenko, who tells about the personality of John of Kronstadt. The film consists of two parts. The first part of "Patria" tells about the native village of John of Kronstadt - the village of Sura in the Arkhangelsk region, about the modern life of his relatives and the memories of the villagers. The second part of the film, "Oikumene", tells of the veneration of the saint's personality among Russian emigres in America .
