On September 4, 2012, the Presidential Library hosted the annual Day of Naval Knowledge. The event was attended by about 300 guests of the Naval Academy of Naval Forces "Naval Academy named after Admiral of the Soviet Union Navy N.G. Kuznetsov", students of the State Maritime Academy named after Admiral S.O. Makarov and other universities of St. Petersburg in the Presidential Library.
