On the back of the postcard text: Theodosia Aivazovsky Gallery was built by IK Aivazovsky in 1880. In 1900, according to the artist's spiritual will, the gallery became the property of the city. In 1925, the gallery opened a permanent exhibition of paintings by local artists. In 1927 the gallery of KF Bogaevsky was opened.
