The building of the city school building. Peter the Great was built in 1910-1912. by the project of architect A. I. Dmitriev. The decor of the central part of the facade was created by the sculptor V. V. Kuznetsov according to the sketches of the artist A. N. Benois. In the niche of the third floor of the facade of the building is a bronze relief-bust of Peter the Great and the inscription: "Father of the Fatherland. 1703-1903. " Since 1944, the building housed Nakhimov Naval School.
