List of maidens from whom Tsar Alexei chose his wife available on portal

The Presidential Library has digitally published a rare printed edition on its website: "A list of maidens from whom Tsar Alexei Mikhailovich chose his wife in 1670 and 1671."

The rare list was included in Volume 5 of the Notices of the Archaeological Society, published in 1865 in the printery of the Imperial Academy of Sciences. The author of the collection was Peter Pekarsky (1827-1872), a researcher of Russian literature, historian, bibliographer, academician of the St. Petersburg Academy of Sciences.
