A scientific and practical conference on the subject of preserving family values has been opened at the Presidential Library in St. Petersburg. "The scientific and practical conference is held in the Year of the Family. Its main goal is to preserve traditional family values. The library has created an electronic collection of documents "Family and traditional family values in Russia as the basis of Russian statehood," Yuri Nosov, Director General of the Presidential Library, said during a speech on Wednesday.
According to him, based on materials from the library's collections, the history of the development of the Ancient Rus' family institute to the present one is shown. The Presidential Library has also released a calendar featuring children's drawings of participants in the library's competition dedicated to the Year of the Family.
