On 4 April 2025, the Presidential Library hosted Cadet Day. This year the event was dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War and World War II - one of the most important historical events not only for the citizens of Russia, but also for the whole world.

On April 3, 2025 the grand opening of the exhibition Ivan and Marya by artists Ivan Krivshinko and Maria Russkaya took place at the Reserve Center of the Presidential Library on Slavyanskaya Square in Moscow.

On 14 April 2025 the Presidential Library hosted a lecture Hail the Russian Fleet! Naval figures in the National Pantheon of Russia.

The staff of the Presidential Library Regional Centre, operating on the basis of A.K. Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library joined the All-Russian intellectual game "RosQuiz".

The idea to create in St.-Petersburg the museum of national Russian art had been discussed in noble milieu of the Russian society from the middle of 19th century but it was realized only in 1895 under the reign of Nicolai II, the son of Alexander III.

On April 14, (April 3, O.S.) 1745 in Moscow in a noble family Denis Ivanovich Fonvizin was born, a famous writer, creator of Russian domestic comedy, publicist, translator. He came from a Livonian knightly family. During the reign of Ivan the Terrible, during the war with Livonia, among other German barons, Peter von Wisin was taken prisoner, who later entered the Russian service. His descendants accepted Orthodoxy, became Russian people and the surname began to be written in fusion: Fonvizin.

On 17-18 April 2025, St. Petersburg State University of Economics together with the Presidential Library are holding the VIII National Conference with International Participation Architecture of University Education: Strategies for the Development of Human Capital in Russia.

From 8 to 12 April 2025 the Murmansk State Regional Universal Scientific Library, based on the Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, hosted the Space Week dedicated to the Day of Aviation and Cosmonautics. For schoolchildren and students the library staff held a series of events of the scientific and cognitive programme "Space as a Premonition".

On 16 April 2025 at 16:00 the Presidential Library hosted a lecture by Anatoly Pavlovich Kontashov, Chairman of the St. Petersburg public organisation Regional Association of Veterans of Military Counterintelligence of the Leningrad Military District.

On April 15, 2025, an extended meeting of the board of the St. Petersburg Culture Committee took place.

On 15 April, the Museum of History of Tashkent hosted an international literary and musical event from the cycle "Readings of Victory" dedicated to the 80th anniversary of the Victory in the Great Patriotic War.

On 11 April 2025, on the eve of Cosmonautics Day, a multimedia exhibition marking the 60th anniversary of the first manned spacewalk opened at Presidential Library.

The International Day for the Liberation of Prisoners of Nazi Concentration Camps is celebrated annually on 11 April to commemorate the Buchenwald concentration camp uprising of 11 April 1945.

"The Memory Book of the Heirs of Victory" at the Russian Cultural Centre in Budapest is open to everyone. Every visitor can share their feelings or memories of the events of 1941-1945 on the pages of this book. The ambassadors of Azerbaijan, Belarus, Kazakhstan, Kyrgyzstan and Russia in Hungary have already left notes.

On 17-18 April 2025 the National Library of Belarus in Minsk is hosting the XXI International Book Studies Readings - a scientific conference dedicated to the history of book culture.

29–30 апреля 2025 года в Кемерово состоится Всероссийская научно-практическая конференция с международным участием «Фронт в глубоком тылу», посвящённая 80-летию Победы в Великой Отечественной войне 1941–1945 годов. Президентская библиотека примет участие в мероприятии.

December 30, 1906 (January 12, 1907) in Zhitomir, in the family of a teacher of Russian literature was born a Soviet scientist, designer of space rocket systems, a member of the Academy of Sciences of the USSR, twice Hero of Socialist Labor Sergei Pavlovich Korolev.

The Regional Centre of the Presidential Library, based on theM. Lermontov Penza Regional Library hosted the opening of the book exposition dedicated to the 155th anniversary of Vladimir Lenin.

On 23 April 2025, the Presidential Library hosted a musical and poetic multimedia composition "And their souls to wander in flowers...". This is the first event of the Poets about Poets cycle of the Poetry Club, where contemporary St. Petersburg poets read the classics of Soviet poetry of the last century: Bella Akhmadulina, Yevgeny Yevtushenko, Andrei Voznesensky, Robert Rozhdestvensky, Vladimir Vysotsky, Bulat Okudzhava.

25 апреля 2025 года Пензенский региональный центр Президентской библиотеки, действующий на базе Пензенской областной библиотеки им. М. Ю. Лермонтова, стал площадкой для проведения Международной просветительско-патриотической акции «Диктант Победы». Проверить свои знания пришли 110 человек — учащиеся старших классов из 8-ми пензенских школ и просто интересующиеся историей своей страны граждане.
