Konstantin Dmitrievich Nosilov was born on October 17 (29), 1858 in the village of Maslyanskoye, Krestovsky volost, Shadrinsky district, Perm province (now Kurgan Region) in the family of a village priest. From 1868 he studied at the Dalmatov Monastery, and later at the Perm Theological Seminary, from which he was expelled “for lack of diligence”.

The Museum and Memorial to the Heroes of the Battle of Kulikovo in Monastyrshchino village (Tula Region) presents the exhibition “Kulikovo Field. Under the Sky”. This is a new photo project of Roman Solopov, which gives a chance to look at favourite places of Russia’s first battlefield from a new angle. There are 10 photographs on display. The exhibition “Kulikovo Field. Under the Sky” will be open to public through mid-August.

November 18, 2017, President of Russia Vladimir Putin took part in the opening ceremony of the monument to the Tsar-peacemaker Alexander III. The monument is installed in the park of the Livadia Palace in Crimea, where the Emperor loved to have rest with his family.

The exhibition On the Wondrous Mountain…, presented by the Uglich State History, Architecture and Art Museum, is dedicated to the Trinity Cathedral, located in the Divnaya Gora (Wondrous Mountain) village “eight versts from Uglich”. It tells about the history of construction of the incredible church, uniting in itself various architectural styles, about its exterior and interior, as well as the fate of Divnogorsky poustyn in the XVIII-XXI centuries.

Vasily Andreyevich Zhukovsky was born on January 29 (February 9), 1783 in the village of Mishenskoye, Belyovsky Uezd, Tula Governorate. He was the illegitimate son of the landowner Afanasi Ivanovich Bunin and the captive Turkish woman Salkha (in baptism – Yelizaveta Dementievna Turchaninova). The boy was adopted and given his surname and patronymic by the impoverished landowner Andrey Grigoryevich Zhukovsky, an acquaintance of Afanasi Bunin, who lived in their house.

Two new interactive halls were opened in the Gatchina State Museum-Reserve. They are devoted to the children of Emperor Alexander III end entitled "Education" and "Leisure". The exhibition is marking the 175th Emperor's anniversary. It showcases copies of photographs of the imperial family, which originals are stored in the State Archive of the Russian Federation, as well as in Windsor Castle, Tsarskoye Selo, and the State Historical Museum.

Russia and the United States” was donated to the Presidential Library by representatives of the Komi Republic. Sorokin was born on February 4, 1889 in the village of Turya, Yarensky district, Vologda province, which today is part of the Knyazhpogost district of Komi Republic.
