President of Russia: Vladimir Putin declared 2022 the Year of Folk Art and Cultural Heritage of Peoples of Russia

As part of a meeting of the Council for Interethnic Relations in Nalchik (was held on November 29, 2019) President of Russia Vladimir Putin supported the idea of holding the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of Peoples of Russia in 2022.

“It was already suggested holding the Year of Folk Art and Intangible Cultural Heritage of our Peoples, in Russia. Let’s do it in 2022. It is important to fill its programme with meaningful content and take into consideration the specific features of each of our regions”, the President said.
