On June 25 at 16 p.m. in concert hall of Russian National Library compositions from the unique note collection of RNL will be performed in dedication to the anniversary year of Yosef Gaiden. The arias from Gaiden’s opera “Unexpected meeting” will be played. In the beginning of XIX century a descendant to the patron of the composer, a Hungarian prince Estergazi during his stay in St.Petersburg presented to the Emperor public library the handwritten score of the author. The musical program includes famous London symphonies for flute and string quartet in arrangement of Yosef Gaiden contemporary Salomon. This music is the living evidence of rich culture of playing music at home that existed in Europe at the end of 18th century when operas and symphonies of Mozart, Gaiden, Rossini , Paiziello were adjusted for the most various “chamber” compositions from duet to quartet. None of these compositions have been played in Russia before. The concert will be performed by Russian Ensemble of Ancient Music under the conduction of Vladimir Shulyakovsky. The solos will be performed by the laureate of international competition named after P.I.Chaikovsky Victoria Evtodieva (soprano). The event is organized by Russian musical society and Center of Human programs.
