Opening of historical-ethnographic museum

Opening of a mansion of an historical -ethnographic museum «Manor Galsky» has taken place today in Cherepovets. In the XX-th century of border of the Cherepovets city considerably extended and now in its modern part there is an islet of farmstead culture - the manor of landowners Curly at last - Galsky "Hill". It’s unique because it’s one of rare examples of conservation in the environment of city not common country-house, but all system of economic constructions (a stable, the human huts, two barns, a creamery, a round garden, a saddler workshop). With opening of manor Galsky the city receives not only the restored historical monument, but also new tourist attraction. On the ground floor is offered to visitors the exhibition «National creativity» presented by ethnography subjects. The second floor of a mansion is occupied with an exposition «Family history - history of Russia».
