Book publishing and book distribution: The XII Saint-Petersburg International Book Salon in the Northern Capital

The XII Saint-Petersburg International Book Salon takes place in the Mikhailovsky Manege of the Northern Capital from May 25 to May 28, 2017.

Representatives of more than 240 Russian publishing houses of Russia and countries of near and far abroad, who represent the artistic, children's, educational, popular science, historical and reference encyclopedic literature, gathered here.

The year 2017 in Russia is declared the Year of Ecology. At the same time, we celebrate a century since the beginning of the revolutionary events in our country. These 2 topics found a worthy reflection in the concept of the Salon - 2017.

In total, within the framework of the XII St. Petersburg International Book Salon, more than 250 events will be held.

Space salon - the most open and completely free for visits. It, by tradition, will not be limited to the walls of the Mikhailovsky Arena. Active sites (marquees, mobile bookstores, scenes, street expositions) will be deployed on the Manezhnaya Square, the Malaya Sadovaya Street and on the territory of the Klenovaya Alley. The total area of ​​the book quarter will be more than 50 000 m2.

The Saint-Petersburg International Book Salon is one of the largest and the most significant events aimed both at the full support, development and popularization of reading in Russia, and at promoting Russian literature abroad. The organizers of the Book Salon are the Government of St. Petersburg and the Russian Book Union. The bookshop is held with the support of the Federal Agency for Press and Mass Communications. The operator of the Book Salon is ANO “Petersburg Media-Projects”.

The cultural and business program of the Book Salon traditionally accepts officials, heads of publishers, booksellers networks, Russian and international experts, writers, representatives of various funds supporting publishing projects, representatives of the library and educational communities, cultural figures.
