Memory of the World: Festival "The Battle of a Thousand Swords. Ragnarok" in the Museum-Reserve "Kolomenskoye" in Moscow

July 15, 2017 in the Museum-Reserve “Kolomenskoye” (Moscow) is taking place the Festival of historical reconstruction "The Battle of a thousand swords. Ragnarok", which will be attended by more than 2000 re-enactors from all over Russia.

The main plot is the confrontation between the prince Rusich and the king of the Vikings. Behind each of them will be the squads, where there will be a place for both the Varangians, the Slavs, the Balts, and the Finno-Ugric people. Mediators will be cunning Byzantine nobles, who will go with the embassy.

All the day the squads and fighters will compete in the lunar, copain, fencing tournaments, and the result will be a large-scale battle, which is the name of the festival. This battle will be the largest in the history of the Russian reconstruction of the Viking Age.
