History of Russia: The exhibition "Mighty, dashing tribe…" about the participants of the Patriotic War of 1812 was opened in the Kislovodsk Museum "Fortress"

The exhibition "Mighty, dashing tribe ..." was opened in the Kislovodsk Museum "Fortress". In 2017, 205 years have passed since the beginning of the Patriotic War of 1812. Many heroes and participants in military operations of the beginning of the XIX served or were in the Caucasus. It is about them and the most important stages of the Patriotic War, the new exhibition, prepared by the staff of the Kislovodsk Museum of Local History "Fortress" features.  

The exposition is located in the Great Hall of the ancient fortress.

Considering the exhibits presented, the visitors will receive quite rich information about the participation of the heroes of the war of 1812 in the spawning of the spa at the Sour spring and its further development. Unique documents, maps, objects, illustrations will give an idea of ​​the pre-war situation in Russia.

Portraits of outstanding participants of the epoch-making event, battle scenes with accompanying material, a number of early XIX century: flintlock, awards of the Russian Empire, military insignia of metal, army regimental banner, gun with bayonet, military suits and much more - will help to restore the main stages of the Patriotic War.

The most famous battle of the Patriotic War of 1812, which took place on August 26, one hundred and twenty kilometers from Moscow, near the village of Borodino, a significant complex of museum items is dedicated to.

It is also exhibited books, postcards, sculptures, printed products, telling about famous people who visited the Caucasian Mineral Waters and glorified in their works the heroes of those distant events.

The exposition also reflects the history of the partisan movement in engravings, postcards of satirical content, reproductions.
