World History and Culture: International Conference "Leo Tolstoy and the French Revolution" in the Museum-Estate "Yasnaya Polyana"

From July 22 to July 26, 2017, the International Scientific Conference "Leo Tolstoy and the French Revolution" is taking place in the Yasnaya Polyana Museum-Estate.

More than 25 philologists, historians, researchers, researchers of Leo Tolstoy's art and history of France from Moscow, St. Petersburg, Novosibirsk, Krasnodar, Saratov, Togliatti, Ulyanovsk and Paris take part in the event.

The conference participants will discuss the French Revolution, its impact on the worldview and creativity of Leo Tolstoy, as well as the connection of the writer's ideas with the ideas of the figures of the French Enlightenment.
