The Head of State draws attention to the fact that, analyzing the causes that led to the world war, reflecting on its complex events, tragedies and victories, about lessons it taught – for our country and the whole world, "it is fundamentally important to rely only on archival materials, evidence of contemporaries, to exclude any ideological and politicized speculation."

On January 26, 2024 at 14:00, as part of the Presidential Library’s cinema club meeting, a screening and discussion of the new documentary film “Studio in the Shelling Square” will take place. The film has been created at the Prosveshcheniye studio. The scriptwriter and director of the film is Lyudmila Shakht, producer is Lyudmila Leontyeva. The plot tells about the life of the besieged city, captured on tens of thousands of meters of newsreels.
