Balaklava

According to legend, it was founded in 891 by the Taurian Greek navigators, who were overtaken by a storm at Cape Fiolent. In 1929, the monastery was abolished. The buildings were initially used for sanatorium-resort needs, later as a military unit of the Black Sea Fleet. In 1991, the monastery was returned to the faithful people.
