On February 29, 2024 at 11:00 the Presidential Library will host the International Scientific Conference “190 years since the birth of Dmitri Mendeleev. Preservation of scientific heritage". This year the anniversary of the scientist is celebrated on February 8.

From March 25, 2024 to April 5, 2024 the Presidential Library hosts the exhibition “About important things through art”. The exhibition is dedicated to one of the pressing problems of our time – bone marrow donation.

From March 26 to 28, 2024, the final stage of the Olympiad “Russia in the Electronic World” in the subject “Russian as a Foreign Language” came to an end at the Presidential Library. About a thousand schoolchildren and students from Vietnam, Iran, Uzbekistan, Egypt, India, China and other countries of the world competed to reach the finals this year. 

From March 18 to March 22, 2024, the Presidential Library hosted training for employees of educational institutions in Yekaterinburg and representatives of the Moscow Pedagogical State University in an additional professional development program “Improving the efficiency of the educational process based on the methodology of using digital resources of the Presidential Library”. Training took place remotely.

Specialists of the Central Intersettlement Model EthnoSmart Library of the city of Ishimbay, based on the remote access center to the resources of the Presidential Library, organized a library lesson for senior pupils “Resources of the Presidential Library”.

Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library held a literary meeting with students - “Gorky in the heart of Russia”. The event was dedicated to the birthday of the writer Maxim Gorky. The meeting took place at the United Russia Public Support Headquarters.

The signing of agreements of intent between the University of Mumbai, Moscow State University and the School of Innopractice took place on the historic campus of the University of Mumbai. The event was held with the assistance of the Russian House in Mumbai.

Specialists of the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Franco Crimean Republican Universal Scientific Library held a visiting event “Day of the Central Library of Crimea at the Medical Academy” for students of the Department of Normal Anatomy of the Georgievsky Medical Academy. The event took place as part of the “First-Year Student in the Library” project.

On April 2, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Pushkin Tambov Regional Universal Scientific Library held a web quest - “On the Roads of Gogol”. The event was dedicated to the 215th anniversary of the great Russian writer, author of many works included in the golden collctions of world literature - Nikolai Gogol.

The Presidential Library joins the Fifth Scientific and Practical Conference “Letter and Digit: Libraries on the Path to Digitalization” (“BiblioPiter-2024”). The event is held in St. Petersburg from April 9 to April 11, 2024.

A scientific and educational hour “Yuri Gagarin – the man of the future” was held at the branch of the National Research Technological University “MISIS” in Dushanbe. The event was dedicated to the 90th anniversary of the first cosmonaut of the Earth, Yuri Gagarin, and timed to coincide with the 300th anniversary of the Russian Academy of Sciences.

A specialist from the Regional Center of the Presidential Library based on the Gorky Ryazan Regional Universal Scientific Library held a library lesson “The Road to Space” for students of school № 10. The meeting took place within the framework of the “School of Patriots” project, which is a series of events dedicated to outstanding events and personalities.

19 (29) March 1629 was born Aleksey Mikhailovcih (Alexis of Russia), the second Russian tsar of the Romanov dynasty, the father of Peter I. During his rule was strengthened central state authority, serfdom was legalized; Ukraine was reunited with the Russian State (1654).  

March 29, 2024 marks the 395th anniversary of the birth of the second Russian Tsar from the House of - Alexei Mikhailovich, father of Peter I.

On November 4, Russia celebrates one of the most important public holidays - National Unity Day. In 1612, militia troops led by Kuzma Minin and Dmitry Pozharsky liberated Moscow from Polish invaders.

On the assumption of the analysis of economical and political situation in the country in autumn of 1917 the leader of the Russian Social-Democratic Labor Party V.I. Lenin made the conclusion that a favorable moment to seize the power had come.

On September 29, 2023 a practice and oriented event marking the 195th anniversary of Leo Tolstoy was held at the Lermontov Penza Regional Library based on the Regional Center of the Presidential Library. Its participants were children from the All-Russian social and state movement of children and youth “Movement of the First”.

The first module of a series of practical courses aimed at training Egyptian scientists specializing in the study of Russia opened on the premises of the Russian House in Cairo. The program consists of four modules and will be implemented this year. The speakers are Egyptian experts and specialists in the field.

At the beginning of the history of Tobolsk, before the Kremlin's construction, there were formed two independent parts of the city - the prison and the Sophia Court. The first prison was located on the left side of the Pryamsky Vzvoz (street) in 1587, and in 1600 it was moved to the right side of the street. In 1621, the Siberian Archdiocese resided in the place of the former prison. The civil buildings of the Maliy (Voznesensky) Gorod and the churches of the Sophia Court were wooden.

The Presidential Library of the Directorate of the President of the Russian Federation is participating in the Russian Library Congress, the XXVIII Annual Conference of the Russian Library Association (RLA), which will take place from May 19 to 24, 2024 in Kazan, the "Library Capital of Russia 2024". This is the largest event of the year in the field of libraries and it takes place on the eve of Russian Library Day. The theme of this year's conference is "Library in a Multipolar World".

On May 23, 2024, the Regional Center of the Presidential Library, which is based on the Yugov Kurgan Regional Universal Scientific Library, held an award ceremony for the winners of the local history Olympiad "My Land".

In May 1221 (according to the old historiographical tradition – May 30, 1220), in the family of Prince Yaroslav Vsevolodovich and Princess Feodosia, daughter of Prince Mstislav Udatny, a son Alexander, the Novgorod (1236-1251) and Vladimir (since 1252) Grand Duke was born.
