On May 30, 2019, the Holy Synod of the Russian Orthodox Church began its session at the historic building of the Synod in St. Petersburg. The session is chaired by His Holiness Patriarch Kirill of Moscow and All Russia. 

The exhibition “Fyodor Zakharov. Painting. Marking the Centenary of the Birth” will run in the Tretyakov Gallery (Krymsky Val) until August 11, 2019.

Deputy Minister of Culture of the Russian Federation, Olga Yarilova, has announced that 500 virtual concert halls will be opened in Russia by 2024. Virtual concert halls may be set up at philharmonic halls, as well as at community centers, libraries and museums. Virtual Concert Hall is a large-scale project of the Ministry of Culture of the Russian Federation, which is implemented as part of “Culture” national project.

February 2019 marks 160 years since the inauguration of the very first photo exhibition in Russia.
