Netcraft web monitoring company has announced that in the March 2012 survey it received responses from 644 275 754 sites and blogs, giving a rise of 31.4 million hostnames since last month.

Web monitoring company Netcraft has published a report on the number of websites and blogs, recorded on the Web as of May 1, 2012. According to Netcraft, by May in the Internet worked 662 959 946 million of websites, that is 14 million less than a month before.

A selection of nearly 50,000 images from the Science Museum Group (UK) that span science, technology, engineering, mathematics and medicine are now available under Creative Commons licenses as part of Open Artstor: Science Museum Group collection. The Science Museum Group includes the Science Museum in London, the National Railway Museum in York, the National Science and Media Museum in Bradford, the Science and Industry Museum in Manchester and Locomotion in Shildon.
