A movie about the famous Russian scientist entitled “10 Peaks of Pyotr Semenov-Tyan-Shansky” was added to the Presidential Library stock. The film, which was awarded with a special prize of the library at the international cinema forum named “World of Knowledge,” which was held in St. Petersburg, was handed to the library by one of its filmmakers, the head and director of the “Hors-Media” producer center Olga Drozdova.

Russian language centre opened in south of India

A Russian Language Centre was opened at Bangalore University. The event was timed to coincide with Russia Day. The Centre was established with the support of the Russian House in New Delhi, Sberbank's branch in India and the Russian World Foundation, which donated teaching aids and fiction to the new institution.
